In 2011, Davids’ founder began looking into the ingredients being used in the "natural" toothpaste he was using. After discovering that many of the ingredients were less healthy and that better alternatives were unavailable, a "simple" idea of creating his own toothpaste was formed. This initial idea turned into a four-year obsession to develop the healthiest AND highest performance toothpaste available. Davids was born and launched in 2015.
Since then, Davids has emerged as a market leader for premium oral care and is on a mission to become a household name. Director of Marketing
Davids Natural Toothpaste Inc. is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead the strategy and implementation of Davids’ marketing plan, brand management and consumer engagement across all consumer touch points and sales channels. The position requires deep experience in marketing a multi-channel business with an emphasis on e-commerce, Amazon and grocery channels. The right candidate will have a proven track record of executing innovative, high performing, digital and community based marketing strategies and tactical plans that halo the brand, expand brand awareness, engage the core customer and drive sales.
This position requires a strong understanding of brand strategy, creative, media, retail marketing, community driven marketing, digital performance marketing and organic social and influencer marketing. This customer obsessed leader thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and has a bias for communication and action. He/She report directly to the CEO and Founder Eric Buss. We're looking for an extraordinary marketing leader who can hit the ground running and bring strategic thinking, positivity, and analytical rigor to the pursuit of our mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Channel the Davids’ brand strategy and insights into an integrated marketing plan to create brand heat, consumer awareness and engagement.
- Successfully deploy campaigns across all of Davids’ consumer and retail channels to increase revenue, acquire customers and build loyalty.
- Create and implement an annual marketing plan guided by Davids’ strategic business plan.
- Manage the creative briefing, development, and go-to-market of brand storytelling.
- Develop and deploy digital marketing campaigns across eCommerce, Amazon, Social platform, and paid media.
- Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns and management of parties responsible for doing so.
- Oversee customer retention strategy, subscription program, loyalty program.
- Lead retail marketing initiatives to drive POS conversion across key wholesale partners
- Identify new marketing opportunities that can deliver significant revenue growth
- Forge relationships and build partnerships that drive credibility and awareness for the brand
- Manage the team, agencies and contractors required to execute the marketing plan
- Establish, manage and report appropriate KPIs to assess campaign performance and rationalize marketing ROI
- Collaborate closely with Davids’ Creative Director, Sales Director and CEO
Requirements
- 8+ years of CPG marketing leadership, digital marketing, and brand management
- Technical knowledge of communications, brand management, retail marketing, partnerships, social media, and influencer marketing
- Have in depth knowledge of eCommerce, consumer behavior, digital marketing strategy/best practices
- Affinity for growth minded marketing programs driven by partnerships, PR, collaborations
- This candidate possesses a high level of taste, sensibility and empathy for the customer seeking high quality products with clean and sustainable ingredients.
- Skilled at working with creative teams and managing digital agencies to produce compelling results
- A track record of achieving maximum impact with limited resources
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and do whatever it takes
