Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Buildings & Grounds Supervisor! The Buildings & Grounds Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all buildings and surrounding grounds. This role includes performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and ensuring that all facilities are in excellent condition to support the operations of Alsum Farms & Produce Inc..
A Day in the Life of an Alsum Farms & Produce Buildings & Grounds Supervisor
You will arrive each day ready to perform routine inspections of buildings (including two migrant camp houses) and conduct minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. You will be responsible for replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and other fixtures as necessary, maintaining and repairing doors, windows, and other structural components and assisting with mowing, edging, maintaining lawns and landscaped areas and snow removal. You will ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards and report any safety hazards or potential issues to management promptly while maintain records of activities and repairs in our Maintenance Management System (MMS). You will communicate effectively with vendors and contractors when necessary and provide excellent customer service to building occupants, responding to maintenance requests promptly.

Job Type: Full-time
Job Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (weekends on an as needed basis)
Salary: $17.00 to $27.00 per hour depending on experience
Work Location: Friesland, WI

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building and grounds maintenance or a related field
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Experience with landscaping and groundskeeping
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Keen attention to detail to ensure high standards of maintenance and cleanliness
- Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
- Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to assist maintenance technicians
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
