The Telecom Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities and grounds within the organization. This includes managing custodians and/or facilities technicians, managing building renovations and other projects, assigning staff to complete maintenance work, and obtaining bids from outside contractors.
Telecom Facilities Manager Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage a team of staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs
- Ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly, and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed
- Oversee renovations and maintenance of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations`
- Manage the budget for renovations, maintenance, and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet the needs of the organization
Desired Candidate Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Telecom Facilities Manager or similar role
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures for buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Must be knowledgeable in AC and DC power, generators, and best practices for telecommunications facilities design, fiber optics, and ethernet cable management.
- Understanding of safety and environmental regulations

Position Specifics:
- Hours are generally 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
- On-call and overtime will be scheduled as needed
- This work requires frequent walking, driving, pushing, pulling, and lifting of moderate objects throughout the workday and, in limited cases, heavy objects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field; or four years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
