Description:
The Shift Process Manager is a key leader in the success of our process and production in Dawson. Always committed to the Safety of our Team and Products. The SPM will manage a team of 8-10 technicians, providing hands-on development and training.
The Shift Process Manager will provide Operations with technical support, guidance, and training towards implementing and measuring benchmarks to achieve optimum plant performance. Furthermore, the Shift Process Manager shall embody the PURIS core values: Integrity, Leadership, Openness, Global Vision, Adaptability, and Partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by seeking feedback and implementing best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support team and organizational goals.
- Efficiently allocate resources and manage budgets to support team initiatives and projects.
- Collaborates with the EHS, Quality and Engineering Teams to develop and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Implement performance improvement plans when necessary and handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Organize team-building activities and events to strengthen team cohesion and collaboration.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Support career development initiatives and succession planning within the team.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Address and resolve safety concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Address and mediate conflicts within the team promptly and fairly.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and collaboration among team members.
- Handle employee grievances and concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
Requirements:
- Strong safety knowledge and leadership
- Strong analytical skills and process orientation
- Experience in developing various process documentation (SOP's, work directions, etc.)
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Demonstrated success collaborating with others and leading process change
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a continuous production facility, preferred
- Experience in food production and sanitary equipment design, preferred
- Understanding of Lean principles, preferred
