Essential Function
The Senior Director of Field Operations – Full-Service is a collaborative leader accountable for the operational functions, technology implementations, communication strategies, sales planning, and vendor programs. This leader is responsible for deploying strategies, successful program implementation, continuous process improvement, project management, analysis, and actionable insights to grow the business and achieve annual sales plans. This position reports to our support center in Denton, Texas, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (or as needed) and works remotely the rest of the work week.
Primary Duties
40% Strategic Planning
• Lead business-building initiatives and special projects. Facilitates cross-functional meetings to develop project plans through to implementation.
• Responsible for the rollout of operational initiatives and tools, including timelines, deliverables, cross-functional partnership management, success criteria development, ROI development, and project updates.
• Support delivering customer-centric technology-enabled solutions for the Field Teams to execute their strategies effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures field teams are informed and prepared to lead their teams in implementing key initiatives.
• Monitors field implementation and execution. Keeps senior and field leadership informed of successes and opportunities.
• Collaborate with departments across the Support Center to ensure the successful launch of innovation, new brands, and brand expansions.
• Works directly with the Analytics Team to establish scorecards to monitor performance, measure success, and identify actions needed for improvement.
• Build collaborative partnerships across all levels of the organization and navigate the Support Center to maximize all available resources.
• Facilitates and drives cross-functional collaboration between own department (Analytics, Activity Management, Communications, Training, and Events and Education), and Merchandising, P&A, IT, Loss Prevention, Real Estate, Transportation, and HR to support Full-Service Operations to achieve AOP and LRP targets.
20% P&L – Sales and Expense Management
• Work with finance partners to maintain budget accuracy and credible forecasting capabilities.
• Support P&L opportunities, including controllable expenses.
• Work closely with the Analytics Team to support the sales planning process, scorecards, etc.
• Leverage reporting to identify sales, expense, and productivity opportunities.
20% Continuous Process Improvement
• Establish a feedback loop with the field to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity.
• Work cross-functionally to root causes, analyze issues that impede ease of execution, and develop short-term and long-term resolutions to improve or innovate processes to support the Associate and Customer experience.
20% Talent and Team Builder:
• Build and lead a high-performing team and leverage unique talents to elevate work products and outputs. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth.
• Responsible for associate experience within the SBH organization, including career development, retention, and turnover rates, including IDPs, PPRs, and performance appraisals.
• Drive engagement through regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings, giving constructive feedback to support professional growth, development, and accountability.
• Consider learning an essential part of the business and allocate time to utilize Thrive training, newsletters, and other outside resources.
• Stay timely with personal PPRs, IDP, Performance Reviews, and corporate training.
• Open to ongoing forms of coaching and communication.
• Engage and keep abreast of field activities and progress by joining weekly regional meetings/calls.
• Capture and share constructive feedback based on field observations.
• Occasionally travel with Full-Service Field Leaders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• This individual must possess direct sales experience with a proven track record of people and business results.
• Knowledge of best practices in inventory management strategies, supply chain, and omnichannel fulfillment practices is required.
• Operationally oriented, focusing on productivity, efficiency, simplification, and cost reduction to drive overall business growth.
• This individual must have a solid ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, including presentation skills, effective engagement with cross-functional partners, and facilitation skills, is required.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to identify, assess, and resolve business problems, issues, and risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Recognize, analyze, and quantify market trends.
• Project management and continuous improvement skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other current and applicable applications, including process visualization software.
• This individual must establish strong relationships with strength to influence without authority.

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the job. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, small parts, driving an automobile, etc. No unique physical demands are required to perform the work.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of places like offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
