Job Title: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Location(s): SAN MARCOS
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Hours vary (as needed in department)
Wages: $115,000-$120,000
Job Duties:
- Manages and ensures direction and training for QA/Sanitation staff and supervisors. Responsible for budget and costs associated with overseeing the Quality and Sanitation Departments. This includes compliance and schedules for training, Food Safety and Quality Systems audits, calibrating lab equipment and testing methodologies.
- Manage the Master Sanitation and Good Housekeeping schedule in RedZone. Verify sanitation procedures through pre-operational inspection, ATP, microbial swab analysis and auditing are completed.
- Act as point of contact for HACCP plan/GMPs- responsible for establishing, implementing and directing CA/ Food safety efforts to ensure compliance with legal regulations and quality standards.
- Work closely with plant management and production employees to ensure conformance to company quality standards using RedZone Compliance and Forums.
- Verify critical control point procedures and parameters for completion as per Established Food Safety Program. Review and edit SOP's, GMP's, and HACCP plans as needed.
- Participate in GEMBA Walks and conduct monthly facility internal inspections/audits and act as main contact for third party audits.
- Verify process procedures to ensure compliance of finished product and raw materials to established specifications.
- Perform raw ingredient and finished product evaluation to ensure compliance to current specifications.
- Develop and update raw material specifications using supplier documentation and enforce quality standards.
- Oversee and control all plant documentation and assume leadership role to ensure a safe work environment that efficiently manufactures highest quality products per customer specifications.
- Investigate customer returns or complaints to ensure accurate determination of root cause and implementation of any needed corrective actions.
