Job Description
The Purchasing Admin is responsible for the purchase of materials, supplies, and services on behalf of the company. This position will need to consistently follow-up with the suppliers to provide updates to the internal teams with the end goal of on time delivery of products to our customers. In order to be successful in this role, the Purchasing Admin will need to maintain a high level of accountability and have the capability to have difficult conversations. The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Job Responsibilities
- Research supplier options by procuring multiple quotes, proposals, and/or pricing for orders to find the best option to purchase – price, quality, lead time, etc.
- Evaluate suppliers’ performance by working with the Quality team to grade suppliers based on data tracked in the quality platform – on time delivery, quality, back orders, etc.
- Create and send purchase orders for shop supplies and tools, kitchen, office, and cleaning supplies, and other miscellaneous product and service requests as needed
- Support the Supply Chain Manager with inventory purchases and follow-up on orders
- Monitor purchases through the delivery process while continuously obtaining updates from suppliers and providing follow-up communications with the internal team
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed
Desired Skills & Experience - Purchasing Admin
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or business degree preferred
- At least 1-2 years of purchasing/buying experience required
- Manufacturing industry experience recommended, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
- Well organized with an aptitude for details
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus, but not required
