Description
Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care (PVESC) is building a special place where our team members can thrive, grow and learn as they help us provide exceptional veterinary care and client service. If you want to be part of that kind of place, we want you to join our team and help us continue to grow it.
We are a 26 doctor emergency and specialty veterinary practice including surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, neurology, emergency & critical care, and cardiology. There is no limit to what you can learn here, and what level of success you can achieve.
PVESC has an opening in our oncology department for an experienced licensed veterinary technician or very experienced veterinary assistant. The perfect candidates will have great technician skills, enjoy forging compassionate relationships with our cancer patients and the people who love them, be great with client communication, enjoy computers, and be equally handy in appointments and treatments. If you are a seasoned professional in oncology medicine, or if you are an experienced technician interested in expanding your knowledge to include oncology, then you're the right candidate for this position.
Our large staff allows us to take a team approach to patient care. Values that guide us in patient care are compassion, kindness, respect, quality, and communication. If you are a technician with exceptional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, we're looking for you!
Our facility has a new technology CT machine, MRI, digital radiology, three surgical suites, in-house IDEXX lab machines, ultrasound, endoscopy, pulse-wave therapy, laser therapy, advanced monitoring equipment and so much more.
PVESC is committed to valuing you by offering compensation commensurate with experience, sign-on bonus, and an extensive benefits plan, helping you to achieve financial security. We are a team driven workplace where every member gets to contribute their thoughts, ideas and energy to our collective success. We use a collaborative approach to leadership and decision making that allows all of our teams to be involved in creating their best and happiest work life. You will build friendships as part of a compassionate and supportive team and give back to the community through continuing education events and community outreach like Pet Rock in the Park, and annual outdoor pet-friendly event in Portland featuring live bands and much more.
If you want to be part of something special, do meaningful work every day, connect with an amazing high performing team and help us as we empower all of our team members to reach even higher, then we want to hear from you.
