JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Emory Winship Cancer Institute NP/PA Fellowship Program is a one-year program that prepares fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients in medical oncology and hematology, bone marrow transplant and radiation oncology.
- The Fellowships innovative curriculum covers the entire spectrum of oncology from cellular basics of cancer, including management of benign hematological disorders, through long-term survivor ship. They have exposure to the care of oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings with rotations through sub specialized clinics, allowing the fellow to cultivate knowledge of specific oncology diseases.
- The clinical rotations provide fellows with both solid and hematologic malignancy encounters simultaneously. The well-rounded and all-inclusive fellowship experience includes participation in services such as palliative care, survivor ship, integrative medicine and clinical trials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an accredited PA or NP master's program prior to the start of the fellowship program.
- National board certification as a PA or NP. Eligible for licensure as a PA or NP in Georgia.
- Eligible for DEA license. BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

- Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
- Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required.
- Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

- Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from Program Director or Current Supervisor if not a new graduate)
