The Wound Care Nurse Manager Provides evaluation, teaching and training to staff, members/family or designated representatives on wound care management.

Job Duties
- The Wound Care Nurse Manager collaborates with physicians and Chief Medical Officer to develop treatment plans for members with active wounds according to current wound care protocols.
- Monitors the effectiveness of current wound treatment plan and provides appropriate follow-up, direction and instruction to staff, members/family;
- Provides educational in-services when necessary.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
Experience & Skills Required
- Three (3) years of experience in an Acute Care setting required.
- Staff development or adult instruction, and/or home care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards for home care required.
- MS Office required. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees of the organization.
- Must be willing to travel to Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk County.
Certifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License required.
- Current Wound Care Certification.
