About the Role
The Director of Marketing serves as the primary leader and guide for the database marketing, special events/entertainment, and promotions teams within a dynamic and fast-paced casino environment. This role involves inspiring, coordinating, delegating, and collaborating with these teams to develop top-tier offers, promotions, events, and systems that uphold the casino's reputation as the premier destination for player rewards and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Direct the overall operations and management of the database marketing, special events/entertainment, and promotions teams. Develop and implement operational goals, and oversee performance to meet profit objectives.
- Assist in crafting and executing strategic marketing plans to drive guest engagement, optimize reinvestment, and achieve long-term profitability.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and reporting any concerns or deviations to the Vice President of Marketing.
- Analyze competitive market trends, marketing strategies, and promotional activities to develop initiatives that maintain the casino's leading position in the industry.
- Enhance the loyalty program to ensure it remains competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with the casino's reputation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement technologies that support Marketing department goals and identify areas for process improvement to enhance operations and player experiences.
- Ensure the integrity of daily operations, including offers and promotions, while interfacing with all administrative and operational departments to achieve Marketing objectives.
- Manage staff scheduling to balance labor costs, meet staffing needs, and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Actively promote and exemplify superior guest service standards by department and company guidelines, addressing issues to meet department guest service goals.
- Enhance guest experiences by providing friendly greetings, offering assistance, answering questions, and creating a positive atmosphere both on the floor and behind the scenes.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met within the scope of responsibility, and report potential issues to the Vice President of Marketing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company-related matters.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of systems for executing database and direct mail campaigns, including MS Excel, Access, SQL, Gaming Analytics, OPTX, and Trilogy/PKMS (Evri Marketing Kiosks)
- Deep understanding of casino guest lifecycle patterns and behavior.
- Ability to interpret and analyze budget and P&L statements, assess competitive information, evaluate program effectiveness, and create actionable plans with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated managerial experience and strong critical thinking abilities required.
- Exceptional team member relations skills with the ability to communicate persuasively with large groups of team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency and literacy in English.
