Job Summary
Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the personal care and home health aide training program as well as other clinician training appropriate for the delivery of healthcare services in the home
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching training material based on DOH curriculums, supervising skills practice, administering and grading exams, working with Elites office to ensure student are ready to be hired for PCA. Based on class volume there may be additional clinical tasks
- Assists in training new staff nurses as needed
- Assists with development and oversight of the clinical orientation program for new hires
- Ensures regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines as well as adherence to the philosophy, mission, and values of Elite/Houseworks in developing and administering training
- Aligns training programs with business needs and goals to prioritize assignments accordingly
- Applies knowledge of current industry standards, corporate initiatives, and current technologies to enhance quality and delivery of education materials
- Provides supervision and/or training on patient care to nurses and/or aides in the field, occasionally onsite, as needed
- Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Elite/HouseWorks Compliance Program
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Required
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse specific to the state(s) the employee is assigned to provide supervision/training of clinical staff
- Associate degree in nursing required
Preferred
- Active RN license, minimum 3 years of field experience
- DOE Teaching Certificate, classroom experience or willingness to attend a classroom management course
- Two (2+) years of experience, with at least one year in home health or hospice preferred
- Excellent problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal direction
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated competence in applying processes designed to ensure adherence to all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations
Work Environment:
Occasional travel for on-site training in care centers and the field required. A significant portion of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination.
Pay Range:The hiring range for this position is
$48.00-$50.00/hour.Various factors will determine final compensation such as a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
