General Summary Of Duties
Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.
PRIMARY LOCATION: Float for Piedmont & Emory Hospitals
Piedmont: Atlanta and Henry
Emory: Midtown, Johns Creek, Dekalb, and St. Joseph
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to
- Completing inpatient hospital coverage and rounds at the hospital
- Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
- Dictating for hospital consults performed
- Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
Required Education, Skills, And Experience
Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
