The Data Science Team within Asset Management Technology, Quant Research and Development, is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient data scientist who is passionate about applying advanced technologies in investment management domain. This individual will act as the technical lead and collaborate with quants, strategic investment professionals to learn, propose, prototype and ultimately deliver scalable and effective solutions using machine learning, artificial intelligence, graph learning and LLMs etc.
This position can be located in Boston, Merrimack, Smithfield, Jersey City
THE EXPERTISE AND SKILLS YOU BRING
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computational Statistics, Operations Research, Quantitative finance or related technical fields.
- 5+ years of prior work experience as a data scientist if MS degree, 3+ years with Ph.D. degree.
- Proficiency in developing supervised/unsupervised learning models.
- Good knowledge of neural network, deep learning and optimization theory; Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and/or Generative AI.
- Proficient programming skills in Python/PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras and SQL.
- Proven track record in model evaluation, tuning, performance, operationalization, scalability of scientific techniques, and establishing decision strategies.
- Experience in investment management projects involving multi-asset quantitative modeling, tax loss harvesting and optimization, portfolio construction.
- Ability to translate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Passionate about staying ahead of the industry with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and eager to drive innovation.
- Ph.D. degree is preferred, and CFA is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$218,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
