Manually proning, intubated, paralyzed patients, multiple drips.Expect to be on the PCU if low ICU census22 PCU BedsICU nurses will care for PCU patients please make sure traveler understands that the majority of their contract could be spent caring for PCU level patientsPCU nurses are not required to take ICU patientsFloating to other departments happens in turn (Medsurg, ER, occasionally Mother baby but only to take care of post GYN surgical patients- no labor and delivery)2-years minimum experience in the ICUWill NOT accept a first-time traveler (will make exception depending on experience)If Charge Nurse is in request-Must be an experienced charge nursePatient , Pneumonia, COPD, CHF, GI Bleeds, ETOH/IVDA, SI, Psych, COVIDNeuro: Stable CVA (no interventions) Will do TPA at times, TBI (stable)CVICU: Pacemakers, Angiograms, Post Cath (TR Bands Radial and Femoral), Fem-Pop Bypass, Pacemaker InsertionSurgical Patients: Ortho, General SurgeryManual Proning, Temporary PacemakersNo Open Hearts, No Neuro intervention, HD (ICU RNs will be trained to do dialysis (short runs), No CRRTTravelers are not expected to care Pumps, Hypothermia Protocol (unless they are comfortable)COVID (ICU, PCU, Medsurg)1:3 for PCU or Med/Surg, try but since surge have had to go up to 1:4Not a large population but does include Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU levelYou may have the med/surg COVID patientsPatient 1:2PCU 1:4Required , ACLS, NIHSSSkills Peripheral IVs (preferred), Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Invasive Line Management (CVP, Alines), IV Medication Titration, Vent/trach/high-flo BiPap Management (RT does manage these devices, but knowledge of them is expected)Support on the (Ratio 1:8-10 days, 1:10-12 nights)Charge nurse: Attempt to keep charge nurse as free-floating, but charge nurse will take a partial patient assignment, depending on staffingPhlebotomy will do peripheral drawsYou may be asked to assist with COVID peripheral draw, if you are already in the room.
