Associate Social Media Manager
Overview/Purpose:
My client is looking for a dynamic Associate Social Media Manager to drive content creation for their social media channels. This role involves producing engaging and visually appealing social media content, such as graphics and short-form vertical videos, to enhance the company's storytelling across various platforms. Responsibilities include daily posting and scheduling on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. The position requires collaboration with different teams to support monthly cover launches, features, commerce initiatives, and growth strategies. The ideal candidate should have a passion for beauty, strong creative skills, and experience in crafting and editing social media content. The role is suited for someone who is detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple projects, and skilled at turning social data into actionable insights.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create creative assets for various social media platforms.
- Assist with daily posting, editing, and optimizing content across multiple platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Threads.
- Collaborate with the video team on daily and large-scale projects.
- Work with the visuals team to bring editorial content to life on social media.
- Provide daily recommendations and work closely with the editorial and commerce teams.
- Collect and edit user-generated content (UGC) from the editorial and commerce teams for social media use.
- Brainstorm and plan rollout strategies with the audience development team.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience creating social media content across various platforms.
- Proficiency in social media graphic editing.
- Experience with vertical video editing and knowledge of video editing software, particularly Adobe Suite (Premiere) and in-app editing tools.
- Background in design with experience using design tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite.
- Experience with core social media channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest.
- Passion for social media and audience growth.
- Experience in the beauty industry is a significant advantage.
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and an enthusiastic work ethic.
- Familiarity with the client’s content, tone, and voice.
- Excellent writing, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly synthesize and communicate information.
- Completion of an edit test (writing, social, or video samples are a plus).
In accordance with the NYS pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position is $24/hour
