Position Summary:
As the Chief Sales Officer you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and maximize revenue growth. You will play a critical role in leading our sales team, building strong relationships with key clients, and driving sales initiatives to expand our market share. The primary responsibility is to retain and grow sales through the company's core product suite and to manage all aspects of running an efficient sales team, including planning, recruitment, organization, and leadership to accomplish strategic objectives.
Essential Position Functions:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to effectively meet the company's short-term and long-term objectives.
Plan, implement, and execute a revenue and profitability growth incentive model that includes accountability for sales metrics on new sales and retention.
Develop multi-year sales business plans for each sales region, including net revenue budget, growth goals and expense expectations, and metrics for achieving Plan.
Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales targets striving to achieve the sales performance and goals.
Collaborate with shared services teams in Marketing, Product, Technology, Manufacturing, and Finance to challenge the existing company systems, including product, marketing, service programs, and policy, by providing management with constructive input to affect positive change.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, performance excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to recommend innovative sales techniques and strategies.
Travel will be required on a regular basis.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
Proven track record of success in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within the K12 and scholastic environment.
+ 10 years ‘experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
