Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing mental health care and psychiatric care to patients. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing therapy and counseling to patients. This role is primarily located in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- FNP highly encouraged
- Required to go onsite to facility in San Diego once a week
- Mental Health Nursing and Nursing skills
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in mental health care and psychiatric care
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in mental health care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in psychiatric-mental health
