Our client, a large media and entertainment company in NYC, is looking for a part-time Communications Manager (PR) for a 30-hour/week ongoing contract. In this role, you will lead strategic communication efforts, ensuring effective brand positioning and compelling storytelling. This role will collaborate closely with Marketing and cross-functional teams to convey unique value proposition to partners and the industry. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking and creative writing skills to enhance brand visibility in the competitive media and entertainment landscape. This is a 30-hour/week ongoing contract and requires some days onsite in NYC as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies
- Craft compelling long-form content for platforms such as press releases, bylines, white papers and marketing materials, as well as short-form content for digital and social media
- Support speakers for events by developing talking points
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to distill insights and trends, translating complex product features and data into engaging narratives
- Oversee editorial calendars to ensure consistent messaging aligned with our brand voice and objectives
- Manage and engage with external vendors and PR partners to monitor media coverage and traction for market-facing initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in communications, ideally within entertainment, digital media or consumer
- Communications experience for a large entertainment company is a big plus
- Bachelor's Degree
- Outstanding abilities in writing, editing and storytelling
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing effective communication campaigns
