Due to the exciting growth of our business, BODEN, an award-winning, independent, and minority-owned Hispanic communications powerhouse is looking for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join our team and work on renowned global brands.
Key responsibilities include being the day-to-day point person on key client projects, developing and executing media relations strategy, as well as leading the development of plans and programming to solve clients’ business challenges. The SAE is fearless about media pitching and interacting with influencers, podcasters, and other Hispanic stakeholders. SAEs are results-driven and have a deep understanding of traditional and new media PR tactics and strategies, and the ability to communicate them confidently.
THE ROLE
- Manages day-to-day earned media strategy work and provides high-level client service
- Proactively develops and recommends strategic PR initiatives and comprehensive campaigns; participates in brainstorming sessions.
- Develops strategic earned media and influencer communication plans, backed by insights, timelines, and budget estimates
- Writes, edits, and reviews translated media materials – pitches, bios, infographics, case studies, backgrounders, and more
- Executes earned media and influencer plans; this includes media pitching national and local publications as well as vetting, negotiating, and seeing through influencer partnerships
- Builds relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
- Oversees account-administrative work, including clip quality, media list maintenance, press kit maintenance, agendas & notes, reporting documents, etc.
- Creates and manages campaign budgets and supports with client invoicing
- Oversees operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence.
- Oversees award submission processes including research, gathering of materials, drafting, and editing of submissions.
- Delegate projects to junior staff, mentoring and providing feedback on their work
- Supervises and oversees junior staff’s work to ensure quality and consistency of work
- Provides ongoing constructive feedback on performance, compliance, and ethical business conduct
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of work experience in a public relations/communications agency
- Experience and knowledge of the multicultural industry
- Experience developing earned media strategies
- Strong media relations expertise and a developed sense of the new media landscape
- Strong organizational, people, and project management skills
- Excellent client management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to complete activities within assigned deadlines and budget
- Polished communication (written and verbal) skills - both in English and Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
