Job Summary:
OpenGov is seeking a skilled Marketing Operations Manager to join our dynamic Revenue Operations team—supporting Go-To-Marketing Leadership in all things strategy, programs, and reporting. This role spans a variety of cross-functional responsibilities, including refining and scaling processes, orchestrating marketing campaigns through our marketing automation and CRM technologies, creating campaign & funnel reporting and driving the analysis, building and managing the contact database, and being a strong partner to the entire Marketing organization. You will ensure that our marketing initiatives are effectively coordinated, executed, measured, and optimized with our Sales and Customer Success organizations to drive maximum impact and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional go-to-market partners (growth marketing & marketing leadership, sales operations, sales, customer success, etc.) to align marketing initiatives with business objectives
- Be the primary business owner of Marketo (or future Marketing Automation platforms) by managing all campaigns and programs (e.g. lead scoring) and working closely with the business systems team on CRM integration, field mapping, automation, and troubleshooting and the broader operations teams to understand and communicate any changes or implications on existing processes
- Drive ongoing development and optimization of lead lifecycle workflows, data enrichment, lead scoring, segmentation, and multi-touch drip nurture campaigns
- Manage the contact database by establishing programs around quarterly updates, enrichment, cleansing, deduplication, and segmentation to maintain data quality and integrity
- Jointly develop, implement, and document standards and definitions with Sales Operations for marketing processes and campaign follow-up that support effective pipeline generation through SLAs
- Create and maintain marketing dashboards to track and measure key metrics against targets and campaign effectiveness—providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with FP&A to analyze demand generation budget and ROI reporting, working with the team to ensure all marketing spend is accurately tracked against quarterly & annual plans
- Manage list imports and attribution reporting from conferences, content marketing, and other marketing activities to drive an efficient handoff to the sales team
- Champion best practices in various marketing technologies, including Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Terminus, LeanData, ZoomInfo or similar database tool, and Domo or similar BI tool
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- B.A. in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field of study preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing operations role at a SaaS business
- Power user of Salesforce and Marketo to manage lead database and run lead scoring and email nurture campaigns
- Skilled user of Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and ability to join large data sets, to streamline data analysis and reporting processes
- Growth mindset, ready to dive in and learn as much as possible in your first 3 months
- Leadership skills to take ownership of the marketing operations function & cross-functional workstreams
- Impeccable attention to detail and attention to deadlines while handling a large number of tasks
- Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize complex information and datasets into actionable insights
- Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment with an “all hands on deck” mentality
- Passion for technology, excellent communicator, and a desire to learn and improve processes
$80,000 - $140,000 a year
Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
