Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Pay Range - $55-$65 (depending on experience)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NP’s) to join our Healthcare. As an NP, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to veterans, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with VA healthcare standards. General Overview:
Nurse Practitioners will perform compensation and pension examinations on Veterans and separating military members seeking benefits for their service-connected health issues. This includes obtaining a thorough history and physical, performing both comprehensive and focused examinations as well as a complete review of medical records on a cloud based EHR. Submission of information gathered through an online portal for Veterans Administration to review as part of a compensation/pension claim. This is more of a charting/investigative position, not treatment-based.
Essential Functions:
- Performs disability and compensation examinations for Veterans
- Reviews Veteran's medical history, including abstracts that highlights portions of the history applicable to the Veteran's claim
- Performs physical evaluation for veterans for disability claim ensuring that charts are submitted within 24 hours
- Orders and interprets labs and other diagnostics
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team
- Provides quality compensation and pension examinations to Veterans seeking benefits for service-connected health issues
- Obtained in-depth health histories regarding specific conditions that have been identified as potential health issues for the Veteran
- Ordered necessary ancillary services based off physical examinations
- Diagnosed and provided medical opinion decisions based off physical examinations and Veteran claims
- Provides the highest level of health care services in terms of compensation and pension to the U.S. Military and veterans seeking benefits for service connected health issues under the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Medical Disability Examinations (MDE) program
- Examinations begin with a review of the patient’s medical history as well as their self-reported current state of health prior to the appointments, physical assessment, appropriate diagnostic test, and diagnosis
Job Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to veterans and their families.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
