The Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role is responsible for the implementation of policies, assessing employee skills and scheduling among the APP department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Lead APP is expected to work 2 clinical shifts a week at three of our current FirstClass Healthcare correctional locations
- Monthly stipend for administrative duties which include but are not limited to the following:
- Interviewing and onboarding new hires
- Completing competencies and annual evaluations
- Assisting in development and implementation of educational presentations for APPs
- Leading monthly APP meetings and participating in other meetings as needed
- Counseling and disciplinary actions if needed for APPs
- Creating and overseeing the APP schedule for the different locations
- Working closely with the medical directors, other site leadership, as well as the owners to ensure operational and clinical excellence
- Overseeing APP student rotations
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of clinical practice as a board certified PA or NP with preference of practicing in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care.
- Leadership/Management experience managing staff and other APPs
- Current Georgia licensure and must reside in GA.
