Thin Film Engineer -(magnetron sputtering expert) -Spectre Primer Technologies is looking for an experienced thin film engineer to aid in the completion of R&D for a couple new products. We're a Florida based startup setting up a small facility in Loveland, Co. The ideal applicant will have experience with large scale sputtering tools and have a familiarity with process controls to minimize stress, maximize adhesion and improve film quality. Typical hours are 9-6 though some weekends and evenings may be required. Travel to our facility in Melbourne, Fl may be (rarely) required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operates coating equipment for the production and development of energetic Thin Film coatingsPerforms chamber and materials preparation, substrate loading, and coating startup and finishMonitors coating and chamber parameters to ensure the process is under controlOptimize parameters to insure coating quality, uniformity, and adhesionPerform various analysis of coated materialsRequired Qualifications and Experience:Bachelors degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or any other related subject that had a strong focus on glow discharge processes5 years of experience working directly with vacuum coaters - large drum coater preferredExtensive magnetron sputtering experienceAttention to detail: Excellent focus and the ability to follow precise procedures.Problem-solving skills: The ability to troubleshoot equipment or process issues.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and ExcelUS CitizenshipPreferred Education and Experience: -Masters degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related subjectFamiliarity with thermites and pyrotechnicsPay:$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 salary per year depending on experienceBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceVision InsuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person Loveland, Comust be US citizen
