Job Summary:
Our law firm, located in Monmouth County, NJ is currently seeking a skilled Attorney to join our transactional/closing department. The ideal candidate will be someone looking to build a career in the transactional/real estate law space. This is a full time, in office position with estimated hours 8:30-5:30pm, M-F, with flexibility for overtime.
_You must have graduated from an accredited law school, hold a JD and either licensed or a candidate for the bar._
Responsibilities:
Draft correspondences and other formal documents, including but not limited to, data input
Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
Draft correspondences and other formal documents, including but not limited to, loan documents
Review and negotiate title work
Review entity documents, purchase contracts, etc., for accuracy
Assist document specialists and funding assistants
Provide excellent customer service to clients and respond to emails/phone calls in a timely matter
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar association of New Jersey or New York or eligibility for admission within the next two years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Reliability and commitment
Ability to work well under pressure and independently
Previous experience drafting, blacklining/redlining documents and typing accurately
Previous experience in loan closings, title work and/or mortgage company a plus
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all work
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
