HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
100% administrative leadership role*. This managerial career developing position will partner with the Manager of Surgical Services to lead patient care services, daily operations and direct reports HR duties for five (5) cost centers:
- Same Day Surgery
- PACU
- Pre-Admission,
- Vascular Access
- Operating Room Float Pool
Primary Accountabilities Include: Monitor and assess operating room resources – Expedite surgery schedule as it relates to both elective and non-elective procedures - Monitor employee assignments - maintain staff scheduling, evaluate staffing levels and makes adjustments - Assist the manger in the development of the annual site capital and operational budgets - Evaluate the quality of patient care provided through collaboration with unit and organization resource people - Assure policies and procedures are in compliance with those of the medical center, the nursing department, and regulatory agencies - Perform human resources responsibilities for staff which includes coaching on performance, completes performance reviews and overall staff morale - Recommend hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations. *Will cover for staff for breaks/lunches.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 3 years of experience in nursing within an operating room or surgical services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Advanced clinical and technical knowledge of the surgery, endoscopy, and pre-operative and post-operative areas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills necessary.
- Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously.
