Position: Inpatient Forensic Psychiatrist Start Date: ASAP Rate: All-Inclusive Details: Schedule: Full-time Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Inpatient and Forensic Psychiatry Responsibilities: Make proper referrals to ancillary departments for testing, treatment, or management Conduct rounds to monitor the progress of residents, with suitable documentation Adjust medical management based on changes in residents' status Participate in the multi-disciplinary team process Request second opinions in cases of medical doubt or difficulty Complete documentation requirements per applicable rules, regulations, and standards Participate in and attend all legal proceedings concerning residents Participate in and attend all disaster drills and be available during actual emergencies or disasters Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as assigned Attend continuing medical education activities to maintain medical licensure Participate in medical committee work to ensure optimal clinical staff organization and quality care Be available to families or other interested parties of residents when called upon Demonstrate diagnostic competence using appropriate physical and psychiatric examinations based on current ICD/DSM criteria Choose treatment based on current National Standards of Medical and Psychiatric care, both on admission and when indicated by changes in the resident s condition If you are interested, we encourage you to apply with a copy of your CV.
