Our newly established US Commercial team is looking to hire its first UX/UI designer. You will be responsible for all the UX and UI design of our customer platforms and customer purchase processes in our North America markets. In conjunction with our product development team in Germany, you will use an analytical approach to ideate, build, test and deploy improvements to our website. Additionally, you will design creative assets for marketing campaigns. This role supports our US Commercial, Brand, and Product Teams and reports to the GM Commercial.

What you will do:
- Plan and conduct UX Research and usability tests with customers and share findings with stakeholders
- Work cross functionally with product management, engineering and design peers
- Design and conduct quantitative studies such as A/B testing, Usability testing and surveys to evaluate the impact of website changes and gather insight through a continuous iterative process; deliver clear storytelling around customer needs
- Help define user success metrics (while being mindful of conversion rates improvements)
- Take the lead in designing the visual experience for the US website and purchase processes. Work from the initial UX wireframes through to UI design, while staying aligned with brand guidelines set by our Marketing Team
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers, owners, sales and marketing
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to the teams; prioritize and develop a design plan to support initiatives
- Identify opportunities for improving our existing interfaces and work with Product Owners on implementation
- Perform live demos of designs to stakeholders throughout the business
- Be versatile and accessible to offer expertise to other departments throughout the business on the topic of frontend design, user interface and best practices
- Implement designs using our website builder software (no code or extremely light code required) and involve product development teams at times when we need new features (write tickets).
Qualities you will bring:
- 8+years of experience in a UX or related role with an emphasis with web usability and UX principles
- An excellent aesthetic and user-focused mindset with an eye for detail
- Expert knowledge of the design tools within the Adobe Suite and Figma
- Experience in HTML, CSS and simple JavaScript strongly preferred or willingness to learn
- A good understanding of UX/UI design principles & patterns
- A good understanding of design theory
- Great understanding of mobile design approaches and using methodologies like ‘mobile first’ where appropriate
- Ability to evaluate dashboards and understand metrics
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to deliver ideas from wireframe concepts to something visually beautiful and appealing to our customer market
- Genuine passion for all things creative, keep up to date with design trends and share around for discussions and generation of ideas
- Experience of creating and working with Design Components & Systems (i.e. Atomic Design)
- Good knowledge of email clients and how to design effectively for them
Preferred or desirable qualifications:
- Working within an agile process
- Using GitFlow
- Working knowledge of frameworks like Vue, React or Angular
- TypeScript
- Experience of working with web based animations
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- The ability to perform the essential responsibilities of this job in our Philadelphia office on a hybrid basis (3X a week, Tuesday to Thursday are core in-office days)
- The ability to use a computer and telephone for extended periods of time to communicate, create, and access information.
- The ability to regularly sit or stand for extended periods of time
