Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advance Practice Provider (APP) to join our cardiology team. The APP should be certified as either an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA). The APP will play a key role in managing the outpatient clinic including diagnosing, educating, and treating patients in collaboration with our cardiologists. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment as the practice is experiencing significant growth. The second half of the clinic offers in an-house Endovascular Lab providing both cardiac and vascular services. Among other initiatives, the clinic is launching an after-hours cardiac quick-care service and seeking credentialling to become an Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Our cardiologists maintain hospital credentials where the APP may occasionally assist with inpatient rounding following a training and evaluation period. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited APRN or PA program
- Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the state of Florida
- 2+ years’ experience in cardiology or related field required
- 2+ years’ experience in interventional cardiology or cath lab preferred
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- Certification in cardiology if applicable
- Proficiency in conducting physical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans
Requirements
- Manage the outpatient clinic from 8:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling needs, including evenings or weekends
- Flexibility to assist with inpatient rounding as needed
- Able to quickly adapt to rapid growth and changes within the office
- Must adhere to practice protocols, guidelines, and standards of care
- Compliance with all regulatory and ongoing licensing requirements
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseload and documentation efficiently
- Maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor in all patient interactions
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Primary Location:Tampa
Shift Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
