Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Duration: 26 weeks
Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: 3*13hrs. (D/N, Weekends, Holidays, On Call, Call back per unit needs)
Pay: Up to $5,000 Weekly Gross
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic Neuro-medical ICU team.
- This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide top-tier care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures and those requiring advanced medical neurology care.

Essential Functions:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Neuromedical ICU, including those undergoing neurosurgical procedures and those with complex medical neurology conditions.
- Conduct thorough admission workups and manage daily patient care, including complex ventilator management, central line placements, arterial line placements, and coordinating patient transfers and discharges.
- Mentor and precept students and new employees, offering guidance and support to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with and support unit-based nurses in providing high-quality patient care and optimizing unit operations.
- Participate in the education of learners through clinical teaching, knowledge sharing, and skill training.
Certification/License:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification from NCCPA; pending New York State license will be considered.
- Current BLS required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care settings.
- Proficiency in arterial and central line placement.
- Experience in neurosurgery or neurology is highly preferred.
