Job Summary:
We are seeking a Assistant Manager to temporarily join the Global Product Marketing team for a reputable beauty company located in New York, NY. This role is temporary for 3 month duration with the ability to extend based on performance and the business needs of the team. The hours are part time 20-30 hours per week, during standard business hours. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in product marketing preferably within the beauty or similar industry, demonstrated success working with varied cross-departmental teams, and be proficient in Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on current makeup market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging beauty segments
- Contribute to new product ideation and concept development
- Assist in creating detailed program briefs and specifications for new and existing products.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other documentation as needed to support project goals
- Contribute to planning, managing, and monitoring new and on-going programs
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to brainstorm and conceptualize innovative NPLs
- Support NPL campaigns
- Support Director with projects and initiatives, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of product marketing experience, preferably within the beauty industry or a similar industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically within Excel
- Thorough knowledge of market/consumer trends
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead cross functionally and build relationships
- Strategic thinking with demonstrated business acumen and ability to develop recommendations based on data
- Ability to influence others, gaining support and buy-in towards a desired outcome.
- Excellent team player with the ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills—candidate must be comfortable taking on new challenges, and roles to support a lean and growing team
