Charge RN, ED
The salary range is $38 to $47 depending on experience and have all of the certifications like ACLS, PALS and TNCC. Full time is three 12 hour shifts a week and we currently have night and day shifts available.
Sign on: $30,000 over 3 years (1st payment is highest)
relo: $1k-$5k depending on where moving from
Onsite visit, part of interview process.
As for skills. this is a charge nurse, and they need to be comfortable with the ER.
We do have AVEL which is a button you push, and a nurse or provider comes up on the screen to assist when needed. They also need to care for skilled, acute and long term care patients. We don’t do any surgeries or OB.
Low acuity hospital; transports everything out.

Requirements:
- Charge nurse must be comfortable with all patients,
- Typically 2 nurse model but may have 1 nurse and 1 CNA/LPN that can give meds.
- Must have clinical skills: strong ED background with IMC experience and strong communicator.
- Ideal candidate personality: outgoing, friendly, connects with all people with diverse backgrounds, treats everyone with respect.
- Required certs: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
Location/Culture:
Harlowton is small community; 800 in town; 2000 in countycentrally located; 1.5 hours Billings; 1.5 hours from Bozeman; 2 hrs Great FallsCattle ranches, grocerey store, gas station and restaurants lots of mountains, hiking, fishing; lots of outdoor activities, hunting, 4-wheelers, skiing (close to ski hill).
Family oriented: sports is big, movie theatre (showing every other wknd), new brewery, big summer concerts w/food trucks, new gym.
Community culture: neighborly, everyone knows each other, helpful, watch over each other, people come together.
New facility in 2 years; 1-mile away; more visible than where they are now and the closest airport: Billings or Bozeman .
As for the community, it is a typical small town where everyone knows each other and what is going on. Class sizes are small and there are lots of opportunities for kids along with great college scholarship opportunities. We are seeing some of the younger community members step up. We now have a nice brewery, summer concerts and a bakery and new restaurant coming in.
