Position
Teacher: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
Summary
This is a unique opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLP will work with kindergarten teachers and students to provide language support and development to instruction. The SLP will work directly with students to address their needs as well as co-teach daily whole group lessons with teachers to grow their capacity to address the language delays found in our student population. The SLP does not serve in the typical role of servicing students with IEPs.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, required
Masters in Speech Pathology with Certificate, preferred.
Previous teaching experience in a public or private school, preferably in an urban setting; or experience working with groups of children and youth, preferably in an urban setting; within the candidate's special skill area preferred.

Co-plans, prepares and team teaches in all assigned classes embedding best practices for language and vocabulary development
Works with students evidencing language delay
Identifies and screens students who need additional support and referral to CSE
Serves as a liaison between the charter school and related service providers
Has the capacity to analyze data on student learning to identify needs for improvement in instruction
Has knowledge of research based speech, language and literacy interventions
Has experience administering and consulting on diagnostic evaluations
Participates as a resource person for in-service training and planning
Participates in professional development
Understands, practices and be accountable for professional expectations
Demonstrates the capacity to work collaboratively across disciplines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
