Breast Surgery Locum Tenens Job in Alabama Starting November + Ongoing Jackson + Coker is partnered with a health system located in south central Alabama that is seeking a Breast Surgeon (or two) to assist with Monday - Friday clinic + procedure coverage starting November 4th. Willing to work with up to two Surgeons in order to fill their full-time, weekday coverage need. Coverage need: Seeking Monday - Friday clinic and scheduled procedure coverage Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm on Monday - Thursday + 7:30am - 3pm on Friday No night or weekend call coverage needed (could change in the future) Details/Requirements for this Opportunity : Active + unrestricted Alabama medical license & CSR required (can consider candidates with an active IMLC) Seeking fellowship trained Breast Surgeons and/or General Surgeons with strong breast surgery skills & experience Must be actively Board Certified and/or truly Board Eligible (in General Surgery, Surgical Oncology) Will work in the clinic setting & have scheduled procedure days (both ASC & hospital based outpatient surgery center) Will do an average of 2-6 procedures per surgery day (volume depends on the type of surgical cases scheduled) Will see between 18-25 patients per day (with the support of mid-levels) Will not be required to do any ED coverage however, it's a possibility that you may need to be on call for your patients specifically (will split call with 1 other Breast Surgeon if call is required) Must be able to work collaboratively with the program's strong team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast radiologists, pathologists, and plastic surgeons Cerner EMR Will be required to get credentialed with two health systems
