Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is in search of a Registered Nurse in the Tacoma, WA area to support a government client on a long term contract. The ideal candidate would be responsible for ensuring patient care aligns with the Standards of Nursing Care and adheres to clinic policies and procedures. In this role you will play a crucial role in caring for postpartum mothers and neonates. You will obtain patient history, assess symptoms, and record progress. Assist physicians during treatments, administer medications, and manage admissions and discharges. Act as patient advocates, to assess knowledge levels, develop instruction plans, and document patient care. You will communicate with charge nurses and physicians, verify orders, and administer medications. Perform direct patient care procedures, manage complex cases, oversee blood and tissue banks, and ensure infection control protocols. Additionally, you will provide professional oversight, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and contribute to quality assurance and research projects. Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of workload requirements and the capabilities of assigned staff to distribute personnel resources in response to unforeseen patient care needs. Actively participate in various conferences, demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, react adeptly in emergency situations, assess patients for potential crises, and are knowledgeable about emergency drugs and equipment. Engage in discharge planning and convene multidisciplinary patient care conferences for complex medical and nursing needs.
