The Developer I will collaborate closely with the Marketing department, including developers, managers, and analysts, to code and construct web properties for GCE and its partners. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of web development, encompassing both front-end and back-end technologies, tools, and best practices to deliver high-quality enhancements and new projects on time. Fully remote position.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of websites and web applications as part of the development team.
- Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Assist in implementing UI/UX designs and optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
- Follow best practices in coding standards, documentation, testing, and version control as established by the development team.
- Work on assigned tasks and deliver high-quality code within the given deadlines.
- Stay informed about emerging web technologies and industry trends, and actively seek opportunities to learn and incorporate them into your work.
- Gain exposure to AI technologies, including LLM (Large Language Models) and AI image recognition, and learn how they can be integrated into web development projects to enhance user experiences and drive innovation.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (computer science, information technology, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent experience building web applications.
- 1 or more years of experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, and other common technologies to build dynamic websites or web applications.
- 1 or more years of experience working on a team utilizing GIT for source code management.
- Tool we use: HTML, CSS / SCSS, JavaScript / TypeScript, PHP, WordPress, Drupal, Node.js, Svelte / SvelteKit, React, Next.js, Office 365, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio Code, Docker / Docker Compose, GitHub
- Other technologies as assigned
