In this role you will:
- Be responsible for maintaining comprehensive quality, health and safety programs for NYCBS
- Ensure compliance and quality assurance with applicable NYS Department of Health and OSHA safety standards within NYCBS
- Implement & maintain all QUAD A certifications, infection control and hazardous communication programs
- Maintain and verify CME training and license requirements for the clinical staff through HealthStream.
- Develop and deliver training to staff
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to clinical quality and safety.
- Complete regular site assessments for health and safety measures
- Participate in all mandatory clinical meetings.
- Act as the primary support contact for quality dashboard and report development
- Identify issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them
- Guide workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues
- Identify and implementing requested changes to the system to support EH quality reporting requirements
- Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization’s process and quality improvement
- Troubleshoot problems and questions with leaders, staff and physicians
- Review and provide regular communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, and upcoming milestones
We require:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
- NYS Valid Infection Control Certification
- Proficiency in EHR utilization
- Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding
- Willing to take action and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency & enthusiasm
- Travel to any of the NYCBS/NYHealth locations
- Hours: Days, Monday-Friday & flexible as needed during project implementations
Hours: Monday-Friday
Salary up to $52 per hour commensurate with experience and education.
