As we grow, we're looking for a talented freelance digital marketer to build and enhance our presence across Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Role Overview:
The Freelance Digital Marketer will play a crucial role in expanding our brand’s social media presence, driving organic growth, and supporting our digital marketing initiatives. You will be actively involved in all creative discussions, contributing to the ideation of our social media calendar, and ensuring the effective execution of our campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media:
- Create engaging social media posts from raw content assets, focusing on posting over commenting.
- Develop and maintain a social media calendar, including approval processes and creative asset requests.
- Manage the scheduling and posting of content on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, including manual posting if needed.
- Engage with users by inviting them to like the page, liking other pages, and performing other basic tasks to grow the brand’s presence.
- Provide reporting and insights on social media performance, with a strong focus on justifying spend for paid approaches.
Search (SEO):
- Execute local and organic SEO strategies, including scaling link-building efforts across various types.
- Create SEO-optimized blog posts, press releases, and other content to drive link-building and improve search visibility (copy provided).
- Manage reporting and insights for SEO performance, ensuring that all efforts contribute to the overall growth of the brand.
Collaboration & Tools:
- Work closely with the team to run campaigns through a social media calendar, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategies.
- Utilize Asana and other project management tools to coordinate tasks and collaborate effectively.
- Access and manage automated social media tools for posting, with some manual posting required based on platform limitations.
- Participate in creative talks, contributing ideas and insights to shape campaigns and drive results.
Project Scope:
- The engagement will last for at least 6 months, with a maximum of 120 posts.
- The primary focus is on driving an email/newsletter list and converting users into sales through targeted social media efforts.
- Campaigns will target a limited service area in South Texas and will be supported by other digital and out-of-home (OOH) campaigns focusing on awareness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on social media management and SEO.
- Proficiency in managing Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts, with a keen understanding of the latest trends on platforms like TikTok.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to report on and justify marketing spends.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Asana and social media automation tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, freelance capacity, contributing to creative discussions and campaign execution.
