Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer to join our Strike team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida, where we define possible.
Join our team to work in an embedded technology environment to develop software working with real time operating systems for use in flight and mission critical systems. We build complex aircraft systems using the latest technologies including simulation, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and cyber that can rapidly evolve to deliver enhanced capabilities for fielded systems, modernizing in partnership with our customers to meet their most complex missions. Accomplish The individual will develop, modify and maintain an internally developed application used for administrating the Airworthiness process. The individual will be responsible for adapting the application to accommodate the needs of the Airworthiness team, as well as interfacing engineering teams. The individual will also be responsible for database administration, data science activities, documentation, and supporting the application's user base. The individual will regularly interface with engineering organizations and customers to facilitate the integration of their products into the application.
The individual will participate in the full life-cycle of software development to include:
- Requirements development, modeling and design
- Application development, GUI Development
- Data reduction and analysis
- Performance modeling and evaluation
- Unit, integration, and formal system testing
- Interface regularly with engineering teams
- Interface on occasion with the customer

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with 2 Years with BS; 0 Years with Masters
- Familiar with Operating Systems Concepts
- Experience developing software / writing code in VB.NET or C#.
- Experience with SQL and MS Access databases.
- Experience with HTML/XML
- Active DoD Secret level clearance OR Top Secret (in-scope)
- Ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR) prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork capabilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, GitHub, GitLab, AND/OR Jenkins.
- Ability to implement, integrate, and debug embedded software architectures in OO C++.
- Experience with Agile Software Development, object-oriented architectures, designs, programming, debugging, and hardware-software integration and testing.

Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
