Alexander & Company CPA's PSC is one of the oldest public accounting firms in Kentucky and is celebrating its 100 year anniversary. We are growing and are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Auditor position in our Owensboro, Kentucky office.
As an Audit Senior, you'll design and execute audit procedures based on the client's business, the risks it faces, and its internal control processes. You'll gain exposure to a variety of industries and business models, helping your career growth and professional development.
You'll also interact with clients directly to discuss field audit issues. Not only will you work independently, but you'll also collaborate with a diverse group of talented audit professionals. You'll use our top rated audit tools and technology.
Job Duties
Assigns audit sections to staff.
Performs administrative requirements of engagement.
Completes entire audit engagement including workpapers and financial statement draft.
Works accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, while still meeting budgets and deadlines.
Handles all types of client engagements appropriate for senior level efficiently, timely and professionally.
Delegates as appropriate.
Conducts research.
Able to identify problems early in the engagement.
Business correspondence.
Aware of status on staff work prior to attending planning.

Qualifications

CPA Certification or eligible and actively pursuing certification.
3-5 years of relevant audit experience in a similar public accounting firm position.
Proven financial, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills.
Excellent client service and demonstrated business development skills.
Senior Accountants must have demonstrated ability to oversee and manage engagements, prioritize engagements and supervise/motivate staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel to surrounding counties; work at other offices and driving to and from client locations is required. No over-night travel.
