Job Title: LPN-LTC
Duration: 8 weeks
Location: Albemarle, NC
Shift: Nights, 12hrs. (7pm-7am)
Position Summary:
- As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LTC), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a long-term care facility.
- Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of nursing care, ensuring the well-being, comfort, and safety of residents under your supervision.
Essential Functions:
- Provide direct nursing care and assistance to residents according to their individual care plans and medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any significant changes to the registered nurse or physician.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and document observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records, including medication administration records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay current with best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and developments in nursing care through ongoing education and training.
- Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development, including attending workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs.
Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
Experience required:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting.
Certificate/License:
- Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in NC or Compact.
- BLS – Basic Life Support
