Quality Behavioral Health is a non-profit organization in the LC Valley seeking a CSAP (Community Sexual Assault Program) Therapist to work 16 hours (two 8 hour days) per week with survivors of sexual assault and/or violence.
Responsibilities would be to provide clinical therapy to victims of sexual assault, and their families, along with assessment, treatment, advocacy, crisis intervention, information/referral and therapy services for individuals who are victims of sexual abuse or impacted by sexual abuse.
Receive training in general, medical and legal advocacy as needed to survivors of sexual abuse and those impacted by abuse.
Complete intake paperwork utilizing appropriate assessment tools and obtaining information from referrals and other collateral sources.
Refer clients to an Advocate for help with client meeting needs and community resources.
Write reports and correspondence regarding clients as needed.
Report all suspected abuse and neglect to appropriate agencies.
Maintain records and tracking information in order to provide verification of services.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Respond to requests for information and assistance related to sexual abuse and assault.
Testify in court hearings and trials as needed.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree (or higher) in Social Work, Counseling or similar program
Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong leadership qualities
