We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Breast Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in supporting our esteemed breast cancer surgeon and surgical oncologist. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with breast health concerns, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breast health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient education and advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive breast health assessments, including clinical breast exams, risk assessments, and patient education.
- Interpret and communicate diagnostic test results, such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with Dr. Kehoe and other healthcare providers.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing breast surgery.
- Assist with breast biopsy procedures and other minor surgical procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and other collaborative care meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in breast health research and treatment.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license and registration.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health or related field.
- National certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in breast health or oncology nursing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
