Job Overview:
Are you passionate about making a difference and creating a supportive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)? As an LPN in our group home setting, you will provide essential healthcare support and make a positive impact every day. Join our team and be a key player in our mission to enhance the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in a group home or residential setting
- Collaborate with the RN manager and group home manager to provide emergency caregiving services as needed
- Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in meeting their personal needs, including meal preparation, medication administration, hygiene assistance and mobility support
- Encourage activities and promote new experiences to ensure socialization needs are met
- Assess daily needs by reviewing medical progress notes and other documentation
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided, and any incidents or observations
Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in good standing in the state of Oregon
- Proficient knowledge in tube feeding, care of J & G tubes, nebulizer treatments, IV maintenance, and familiarity with various pumps
- Competency in airway maintenance, trach care, ventilation, and suctioning
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and awareness of potential side effects
- Current CPR/first aid certification
- Ability to acquire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and IV certification within 3 months of hire
