Aerospace Structures sector is seeking a Production Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Process Engineering / Standard Tooling organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Essential Functions:
- Support Manufacturing Process Engineering and Standard Tooling teams across multiple programs.
- Use a unique skill set and hands-on approach to performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including planning, continuous improvement, material management, process optimization and liaison.
- Determine the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools.
- Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements.
- Maintain progress reports, schedules, and other related records.
- Responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to: Submission and follow-up on rapid request orders (RRO’s) for industrial supplies, generate reports to identify aging tool replacements needed, lead aging tool removal processes, monitor aging checkouts of tools by mechanics and send out appropriate notifications, coordinate new tool deliveries including new consumable delivery system for new areas, communicate with production teams regarding newly designated areas for assets.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 4 years of additional education or 4 years of related experience in planning/scheduling, process development, quality, or production experience in aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Active in-scope DOD Secret Security Clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
- Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Special Program Access
- Experience creating work instructions and visual aids
- Experience creating procedures or process manuals
- Experience in inventory software suites (Cribmaster)
- Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Salary Range: $51,500 - $85,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
