Come join us in our outpatient clinic where we offer treatment of a variety orthopedic and sports medicine patients. We are currently looking for qualified Occupational Therapists/Certified Hand Therapists to join our world-class team of OT's, PT's and Orthopedic Surgeons. In this role, you will plan and administer medically prescribed and necessary occupational therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries or dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system and help to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disability.

Essential Functions
The following includes the essential duties and responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist.
Assesses patient condition, establishes goals, treatments and care plan in conjunction with patient, family, and physician
Reviews physicians referral/prescription and patients condition and medical records to determine occupational therapy treatment required.
Tests and measures patients' strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
Administers occupational therapy treatments (including home instruction) within scope of occupational therapy practice appropriately and monitors patient responses to such treatments.
Evaluates effects of treatments at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Documents findings, treatments, responses and progress in patients charts according to clinic guidelines.
Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians and other departments about impact of OT factors on patient health status.
Complies with appropriate clinic policies related to infection control, safety, regulations.
Educates patient and patients family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercises.
Serves as information/education resource for patients, families, staff.
Provide occupational therapy services, maintaining appropriate protocols.
Supervises and assists with student observation and clinical rotation if applicable.
Assist in marketing and promotional efforts and events as needed.
Participates in in-services and other departmental meetings that are organized.
Assists with smooth running of the clinic with accepting responsibilities assigned to them by the Therapy Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, standards and applications.
Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, regulations, safety and infection control, and quality control requirement.
Knowledge of how to use and maintain occupational therapy equipment.
Skill in appropriate evaluation and treatment of patients and the ability to evaluate utilization and quality data and make necessary modifications in performance
Skill in using OT equipment by consistently using devices appropriately to improve patient health status
Skill in fabrication of custom splints.
Education and Experience
Occupational therapy degree from a college or university; one year of related experience and/or training preferred. New grads are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Must possess a Occupational Therapy license in state of practice and must be conspicuously displayedat each established practice of business or other location occupied in conducting business.
