John Adams Academy is seeking a school nurse to work with administrators. the program specialist, and Director of Scholar Services to oversee the health needs of all scholars. The School Nurse manages a health services program to facilitate the scholar’s optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development; supports the process by working to assure the health of scholars; and conducts the school health program for John Adams Academy.
Education, Experience and Credentials:
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Valid California School Nurse Services Credential.
- Current CPR and First Aid for Healthcare Providers
- Valid California State Audiometric certificate or ability to obtain one within first year.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing, or pediatric nursing
- Practical experience with evidence-based interventions and instructional practices.
- Valid California Class C driver’s license.
