The Software Team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Embedded Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer based out of Pt Mugu, CA near our Camarillo, CA site. Come work with us near the beach with a growing diverse team!
If you are an experienced embedded real-time Software Engineer or Software Developer, WE WANT YOU! Join our team and support our EA-18G and Growler Block II Programs.
All Software tasking will be performed on-site at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.
What you'll get to do:
Embedded real-time system software development
Work in Waterfall and Agile environments
Resolve software and system defects
Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and other disciplines
Participate and contribute to peer/code reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical interchange meetings
Tools utilized are project-dependent and may include various VM/CM tools such as Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest, GIT, Bitbucket, Jira, SourceTree, Confluence, MFS, Rhapsody/UML for design, DOORs, etc.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Embedded Software Engineer:
BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 6 months of experience
Experience with object-oriented development
Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
US citizenship required
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Ability to work full-time onsite in Camarillo, CA and Pt Mugu, CA
Basic Qualifications for an Embedded Software Engineer:
BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience; or Master's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
Experience with object-oriented development
Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
US citizenship required
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Ability to work full-time onsite in Camarillo, CA and Pt Mugu, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication and customer service skills in a teamwork environment
Experience working full software life-cycle experience on a large-scale, formal DoD program
Experience programming with C++ and ADA programming languages
Experience working in an Agile environment
Electronic Warfare system development and design experience
Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
Salary Range 2: $87,200 - $130,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
