Description Cardiology - Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner The Heart Center is seeking an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioners to joins its established and growing cardiology team. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for providing electrophysiology clinical services and support including assessment and monitoring of patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorder. The NP is responsible for providing cardiology services in collaboration with physicians and for carrying out the plan of care for his/her patient panel. Job Highlights Performs and records a physical examination on all inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients and conditions as directed by physicians. Develop diagnoses and plan of care, ordering all necessary testing, diagnostics and medications required. Management of ordered tests including providing patient results, ordering additional required testing, returning patient messages. Monitoring of devices including interrogation, management, adjustments and troubleshooting. Assists with device implantation which may include pre-op assessments, management of issues, completing admissions, inpatient care and discharges. Daily monitoring of and management of remote websites and investigation/triage of transmissions. Evaluate all urgent CIED patients. Responsible for training RNs, technicians and NPs on the basics of electrophysiology and the function, monitoring and assessment of patients with electrophysiological abnormalities with focus on the evaluation, management and reprogramming of CIEDs including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders. Performs Tilt Table Testing according to defined protocol. Responsible for creating and implementing device clinical protocols. Clinical research planning and execution. Travel required to multiple Heart Center locations. Qualifications
