Title: Full-time Drafter
Location: Western Nebraska (Remote work possible, but preference given to candidates willing to relocate)
B&C Steel Corporation is seeking an experienced Metal Building Detailer/Checker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for detailing metal buildings and potentially reviewing the work of others before it goes to our fabrication shop. This is not an entry-level position; ideally, candidates should have 4+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Metal Building Software (MBS) and AutoCAD to detail metal buildings according to project specifications and design plans.
- Check and review drawings and plans for accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with the fabrication shop to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
- Provide support and guidance to junior drafters as needed.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality in all work.
- Review designs for errors before final production
- Contribute to design and build processes
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in metal building detailing.
- Proficiency in metal Building Software (MBS) and AutoCAD is essential.
- Strong understanding of metal building design, detailing, and construction.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience checking and reviewing drawings is a plus.
